what is infertility

Infertility is major problem that face both female and male , and it considered one of the most annoying problems , Infertility mean inability to conceive ( female get pregnant) after one year of continuous course without use of contraception.

Infertility differ from sterility as it mean there is no change to female to get pregnant due to incurable causes like congenital absence of the uterus .

There are two main types of   infertility , primary infertility which mean conception never occur , and secondary infertility which mean failure of conception after period of previous fertility , it diagnosed after 2 years of previous pregnancy , that to give time to lactation amenorrhea and it’s association to an ovulation.

Fertility chances

The highest female fertility is from 18 to 25 years old and it start to decrease up to 50% by the age of 35 and sharply at the age of 37 years old .

For young couples with no adverse effect , the ability to conceive per cycle from 15 to 25 %.

About 60% of healthy couples conceive after 6 months of unprotected course and 80% conceive after 12 months .

Infertility causes

there are three main causes of infertility , female causes , male causes , sexual course disturbance and finally there are unexplained type of infertility , so in assessing infertility for any newly couples , they should asses these three parts in accurate way to reach a solution to their problem.
